This Monday is about food again! The word “casserole” is used in French, but it doesn’t mean the same thing as in the US. This was quite confusing for me when I first moved to New York. “Une casserole” simply means a pot (for cooking) and it has nothing to do with the American version (usually a dish baked in the oven.)
L’eau bouille dans la casserole (The water is boiling in the pot.)
J’ai beaucoup de casseroles et de poêles dans ma cuisine (I have a lot of pots and pans in my kitchen.)
