And as you can see, it is mandatory to add the little word “de” at the end. So for example, you would say:
Elle a besoin de fleurs (she needs flowers) and not “Elle a besoin fleurs.”
J’ai besoin d’un café (I need a coffee) and not “J’ai besoin un café.”
